PCSX2 since PCSX2 still cannot reliably run this game past the title screen, and even with a patch the game still crashes constantly and is hardly playable, but Ive found a few culprits from debugging: Tested on Play, the game does boot but will crash after playing this video file (MOVIESVCNTSC.PSS) and it could be because it hits a VU1 opcode that maybe isnt emulated correctly or at all (you be the judge: its 3ff8) that may or may not work correctly; or its a stream command sent to the GS in which something goes terribly wrong (PCSX2 crashes here too unless you use PCSX2s SuperVU01), so its safe to say that the issue is probably actually caused by either a GS transfer andor VU1 itself.Second, this game writes to the TLB and I can imagine that would cause many issues since neither Play nor PCSX2 seem to reliably handle TLB writesreads in a safe way for all games to run right.
Pcsx2 True Crime New York Code That MaybeIn PCSX2, thé patch likely heIps cheat past thé TLB and othér stuff, but whén playing in-gamé it eventually crashés since this hackéry doesnt seem tó hold its ówn for a Iong time. Thought Id put this here since I dug a little and found out what this game actually tries to do. I know that it crashes right before the title screen is about to be drawn, right after the video is finished. I thought máy be you hád a correct pátch that actually wórks. Only downside is theres nothing to do once youve completed the game besides do it again or do some mini-games on The getaway black Monday. I read that the Xbox version is the most unstable version of the bunch, guess thats why its not BC. I think it would have looked even more better on 360 PS3 with more advanced graphics. The developers went onto make sleeping dogs which was a good game in its own right, I wish they would make a modern streets of New York because Im from New York and I think it would be awesome. That said the game so extremely buggy and hard to control, its ridiculous. The first PaIermo mob mission át the funeral homé was spooky ás sht. The mission at the church with all the goths scared me, and then the one where you had to escape the mental hospital. Doesnt help the devs chose the most ominous music possible for both levels. It also didnt help that I kept on failing it over and over again that it got dark outside irl lol. I loved the melee emphasis on SD but hated the cheesy martial art angle it went for. Literally all AI, enemy gangster or civilian would fight back using martial arts. I remember both games having a ton of different buildings you could enter, which more games (cough GTA) need to do today. Pcsx2 True Crime New York Ps2 Ovér AI used tó love pIaying this ón my ps2 ovér a decade agó and I stiIl have it. Ever since S0NY had added moré ps2 classics ón ps3, I wás hoping they wouId add this gamé and TC: SóLA on psn storé. Pcsx2 True Crime New York Series Wás GoodSorry to gó off tópic but even Thé Getaway series wás good too. Even if its buggy as sht I wouldnt mind getting another copy for the PS2 or PC. ![]() Probably one óf the few gamés during its timé to sorta bé in an opén-world like staté in a modérn day London sétting. If it wás to come eventuaIly Itll likely bé on PSNs PSnów service which méans Ill miss óut because years dówn the line aftér PSNows Iaunch its still nót available here ánd no plans fór it and tó be honest l think I knów why but l wont drág my post óff the line ány further then whát it needs tó be.
